WORDS ON THE WIND

WORDS ON THE WIND

Am I just screaming into the wind?
Do my words even reach their ears?
Can I reach behind the walls of sin?
Or are they lost to their deepest fears?

God am I a voice that breaks through,
The fortresses their lost pride builds?
Am I reaching the lost souls for you?
Is there any that to you yields…

****
Here I am, lost and alone, am I?
I can't see a way out, God are you there?
The guilt crushes me, I can't even cry
What hope is there in prayer?

I've fallen in darkness, I can't see
Oh God if you're real I beg come!
Is there hope, even for one like me?
I don't know where my help comes from

****

I'm preaching, a voice in this night
Am I reaching the lost sheep at all
Lord Help me to shine Your light
And lift the Watchman's call

Wake you sleepers, from your slumber!
For God calls out to you to rise!
Rise up! Repent and join the Numbers!
As our Lord returns from the skies!

****

Some where I hear a Voice Calling
Saying wake up! Rise up! Stand!
All around me this world is falling
God come to me if you understand!

In the distance I see a Light shine
Though it seems so very far away
Lord I wish that Light were mine
But the Darkness continues to sway

****

I call out, Jesus died for you sins
I tell them God raised Him from the Dead
But they laugh at the words in the wind
Mockery matches every word I've said.

God! I pray for these Lost, that they see!
I beg You help them hear your Word!
But continuously they mock me
Is there one who's stopped and heard?

****

There's whisper in the wind I hear
How Jesus died, and rose again!
The wind blows the words ever near
That He died for my sins!

Of course I hear the Laughter
But did Jesus die even for me?
The thought follows me even after
The voice fades away from me

****

I look out into the night, I see none
God I pray they come by your Grace
I preach to thousands, or is it one?
Lord I'm alone in this Place

Once more into the Night I Cry
Repent and come to the Cross!
For you did Jesus come to die
And Rose again to save all the lost

*"**

The laughter starts once again
But Lord, did you die…for me?
For all my failures and my sin?
Can I really be set free? Truly free?

God help me, a sinner and lost
I'm so tired of this dark night!
I bow here before Your Cross
Shine through me Your Light!

****

In the distance I see a Light.
On the wind I hear the Call
Another Soldier is in this fight
And we'll fight on through it all

Oh Lord, the laughter still rings
But greater are You, then are they
For we serve the King of Kings
And it matters not what they say
AMEN
