Echoes of a Broken Heart

In the quiet chambers of my soul, Where shadows linger and memories unfold, I trace the contours of a love once whole, Now fractured, like shards of moonlight gold.
The heart, a fragile vessel, once ablaze, Ignited by the touch of your fingertips, We danced upon the precipice of days, Our love a symphony of whispered scripts.
But fate, that cruel conductor, intervened, Tore our notes asunder, left us adrift, And in the caverns of my chest, unseen, The echoes of our melody still sift.
Each tear I shed becomes a silent plea, A river of salt that carves its secret course, The ache, a haunting ballad meant for thee, A requiem for love’s ephemeral force.
I gather fragments of our stolen nights, The moon a witness to our clandestine vows, Yet silence wraps around my throat, too tight, As if the stars conspire to hush our woes.
The pillow cradles whispered confessions, The night, a canvas for our love’s lament, And though you’re gone, your essence still possesses The hollows of my chest, where pain is spent.
So here I stand, a vessel cracked and worn, The tears, my ink, the ache, my silent plea, Lost love, a sonnet etched in shadows torn, A bittersweet refrain that once was we.
