Ageing

Aging

The beautiful leaf has a new gown,
The green of youth now turning to brown,
The transformed leaf is getting older,
But its beauty and shape is so much bolder.

An older leaf yes this is true,
But God has so much more for the leaf to do,
Older and wiser if a little odd,
But the little leaf still belongs to God.

About this poem

A short poem about getting older. I took a photo of a leaf. The leaf was colourful but also parts were fading. I thought the leaf was still beautiful in the eyes of God. An encouraging poem about ageing and reassurance that God still loves His child no matter how old they are. Kim xx
