BOW BEFORE THE CROSS

BOW BEFORE THE CROSS

The world has beaten my heart
The fire burns my soul to ash
I think I may start to fall apart
As sorrow and faith seem to crash
This is when….
…..I bow to the Cross

My enemies have thrown me
From the ship I ran away on
Though I'm in chains, I'm free
And if it seems all my help is gone
This is when….
…..I bow to the Cross

I bow before You, for Your help I cry
God I'm crying out, and on my knees
My enemies plot they're sure I will die
But I know Heaven hears my pleas
This is when….
…..I bow to the Cross

I've fought the Good Fight
And I ran the race to win
Faith to cut through this Night
The Blood wiped away our son
This is when….
…..I bow to the Cross

I told the world my tale
I heard their laughter echo
But the Gospel won't fail
And God's Glory will show
This is when….
…..I bow to the Cross
AMEN

About this poem

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8-9
