To Serve my country

As I often do I think about and remember my Shipmates I served with the ones still alive and those I've lost. There was a great togetherness as we served side by side that can't be duplicated. There never was a color of skin that we ever saw. There only was a fellow Shipmate that was trained to fight for the Ship and the lives of each other. With that heart felt formula we always survived the mission the danger and protected the freedom of every American and it's allies. Every Shipmate I served with increased my desire and value of life and living through their stories and our exchange of service and duty to our sworn oath. If I could I would serve in our military till my death. However I'm very grateful that God allowed me to serve all those years I did. I felt like a fish in its water when I served.
