My Creation
Brian English 1979 (Massachusetts)
I see your face staring back at me
I don't understand what you're trying to say
If I could only hear your words
What would they be, if you could speak?
Every day when the sun sets
Your little mind will wander away
Dream to be, dream to see what this life can bring to thee
You are my soul divided in two
I hope you become what I was never able to
I want you to feel like I've never felt
Play the cards wise as you are dealt
You are my image, my student
I will teach you and mold you as I can
I will lead the process of becoming a man
For you my son, you are my creation...
Love, Dad
