Let Love See Me

The me you see is who I am, sometimes weak, yet always trying to be strong

My path has had bumps and spiraling falls, not always right but yet not always wrong

There have been many moments when the fight overwhelmed me with confusion and deep trembling fear

But the thought of you would rush back to my heart and you would pull me to where I could feel you near

I could look behind me and constantly relive those trials and errors that sometimes try to pull me back

But my heart and eyes look straight ahead to where I want to be, working for what I lack

Please soften your heart and let the pain and anger of what’s behind us stay there where it belongs

Our future is what is important, we need to forgive, learn from the past and allow our love to keep us strong

Sit back for just a moment and see the me in the mom and allow your heart to love freely

You will feel the deepest, strongest love that you will ever have in someone who will in you always believe

The me in the mom, and the mom that is in me, is because of each of you that I love and know that you are the best of me

Maylinda Jane McRae

I haved live in Georgia all my life. I have four beautiful children and five grandchildren,an amazing man in my life named Scott. God has also blessed me with many loving family members and friends. God has blessed me in so many ways and I want to share with others how amazing he is and the grace that he wants to bestow on others. I have been writing since I was a little girl, it has always helped me to express myself whether it was during a storm or a victory in my life. My prayer is that my poems will help someone who may be going through a storm or celebrate a vicotry in life. more…
