Time

Time. Three ended.
It connects what was--
To what is and will be. And--
End to end, it is a journey, and can be
Long or short, smooth or rocky.

Like a flower, it withers.
Like youth, it fades.
A gift, it is from God, and it is priceless.

A possession, it can't be kept--only used, or
Misused--even traded, or thrown away--only
To return in some measured refrain.

Unlike emotion, it can't be bottled up
Or buried in one's head and--heart...and 'til
The end, it's all encompasing to everything
Finite--with a thin line between
Eternity and Infinity.

There's a reason (a good one), why
It is named Father.

Mother Nature needs a lot of tender-loving care.
And it demands, and should get
The respect it deserves--infinitely.
