Misuse Of Tools
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
Accidents can happen.
And mistakes to make,
Is an everyday occurrence.
Forgiven to forget.
Leaving few done to do,
Left as exceptions.
Although,
A misuse of tools...
Can create to make,
A once reliable foundation...
Historically documented,
To firmly stand cemented...
In re-inforced steel.
Preventing beliefs,
From manipulation.
Or treasonous acts deceived.
By the very ones who claim,
They are updating to renovate...
An established institution.
An institution that has stood,
For decades and centuries.
Yet...
Discovered had been,
The origins intended...
By the founders of it.
Were blueprints burned.
Deep in the woods.
Charred by a campfire.
While they sang.
And roasted marshmallows.
'That is incredible news.
How was this discovered?'
'We had been out,
Searching to find pinenuts.
To add to our trail mix.
And there it was!'
'What?
What was this 'it'?'
'One of those old cellphones.
And on it...
We heard them singing.
With a squirrel.
And pictures of that squirrel,
Begging for nuts.
Threatening to burn,
The blueprints.
If they refused its demands.'
'I don't believe any of this!
Where is the cellphone?'
'That's the dilemma.
You see...
The auditors have had it for years.
Inspecting its authenticity.
And when they have completed,
This exhausting understaking...
We will release their findings,
Immediately for public scrutiny!'
'OH. Okay.
Well, at least you do have evidence.'
'Not only that.
We also have ashes we have kept,
From the campfire.'
'Great.
Make sure they are kept,
In a safe place.
People these days,
Are quick to claim...
They had been duped.
Or worse...
Hoodwinked!'
'So distrusting are the people,
These days!
