Into the shade of darkness falls,
emotions of fear and sorrow;
Emptiness lingers in the void,
with no purpose for tomorrow.

Yesterday's ghosts haunt every move,
disturbing all signs of hope;
Confusion casts its cryptic spell,

SO STILL, the BREEZE

the wind is shifting now throughout the willows,

it seems calmer and more peaceful than before;

I shake my head in quiet bemusement,

one never knows what the gods have in store.

Was I old enough too understand the reasons,
why God unfurled a myriad of seasons ?
An empty space--a relic--of years gone by,
let loose within my soul a youngster's sigh.
