Analysis of Joyous Forgiveness
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
Bless those who are forgiven,
And covering the transgression;
They will have a place in Heaven,
For remorse in their confession.
The Lord counts no iniquity,
In whose spirit has no guile;
No lewdness or audacity,
Or an immoral lifestyle.
For my bones were wasting away,
When I was just keeping silence;
Through the groaning throughout the day,
In watching all of the violence.
Day and night His hand laid heavy,
And my strength dried up from the heat;
As my transgressions did levy,
That was being filled with deceit.
I acknowledge my sin to God,
As I regret my transgressions;
For it caused me to become flawed,
A pardon for my confessions.
Let everyone who is godly,
Offer prayer to God at a time;
When lifestyles have been oddly,
Progressive in chaos and crime.
For the Lord is my hiding place,
As He preserves me from trouble;
And surrounding me with His grace,
For shielding me with His bubble.
He will instruct and will teach,
And counseling me with His eye;
Guiding with a bridle to preach,
Showing that He is your ally.
Of the wicked many sorrows,
But the love in the Lord builds trust;
And steadfast for all tomorrows,
For guarding against any lust.
Be glad in the Lord and rejoice,
Be righteous with an upright heart;
Shout for joy lifting up your voice,
With goodness and love to impart.
