Mental Processing
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
It is difficult to analyze,
A mental processing.
Of those who know...
They have been,
Duped, deceived, tricked and fooled.
Then be lied to by the ones denying it.
To then hear from them admit committing,
Fraud, corruption, betrayal and treason.
For no other reason but looking to stay,
Popular in the minds and also eyes to see...
Someone who appears 'Nuts' and 'Crazed'.
But seems to wonder to not comprehend,
Why the ones once sitting suddenly jump...
To their feet applauding.
Smiling so wide as to expose their teeth.
And yet...
When at home alone,
The one who has committed to admit...
Fraud, corruption, betrayal and treason.
Sat to wonder,
If the people had applauded...
His ability to attempt the look of sanity.
Or...
Had those heard screaming for more!
Wanted more to be duped,
Deceived, tricked and fooled.
With a frauding, corruption,
And a continuance...
Of undenying betrayal to admit treason done.
This can torment the mind of one,
Who has invested too much time...
Wishing to be loved,
For who they are and not appear be.
Not one 'Nuts' or 'Crazed'...
But had wishes to want to be picked up,
And cuddled from a cradle as if...
Emaculately born.
Now these days left to feel,
Bewitched, bothered and bewildered.
Yet difficult it is to remain loyal,
To someone who believes...
Portraying an idiot publicly,
Would attract more bees...
Motivated to make honey.
Then rats booing at a performance.
That trapped them into standing up to clap.
Immediately seeking adulation as well.
But not arrested, handcuffed and sent to jail.
To be identified as accomplices!
No Sun will come out for them tomorrow.
Nor a slice of pizza,
Topped with mozzarella cheese!
