A Tare
My heart once lit and full of life,
Became a boundless burden.
Words cut so deep by your knife,
My heart sheds blood, it is hurting.
A grasp out into the ethos of the universe,
The purity of darkness leaves me feeling blind.
Your touch now it feels so perverse,
My fear of your caress, it’s so unkind.
My tears lie in pools beneath my feet,
Blood-soaked fingers rip deep into my skin.
The world will never again feel complete,
Your hair against my chest now feels like a sin.
Why did the celestial winds choose to place me near you,
My carnal nature only desires to feel your touch.
Explosions in my mind make you seem so true,
But my heart, my heart it needs you so much.
With my final breath I ask for one purest wish,
As this soul falls with wings of despair.
My lips they yearn for one last kiss,
Before my heart bleeds out of a celestial tare.
